- Studio 4C
Studio 4C is unique to Braddock Hills Middle School this year and features a blended curriculum integrating art and social studies. The name, “Studio 4C” comes from the “Four Cs of Education” that are designed to best prepare 21st Century students for success in a global society. The Four Cs of Education are: Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Critical Thinking.
This year, 6th grade students will examine “Identity and the understanding the self”, 7th grade students will explore “The impact of change on people and communities,” and 8th grade students will investigate “Liberty and Freedoms.” Studio 4C will enable students to critically analyze the world around them in order to make informed decisions about how to creatively pursue progress.
On February 17th, students gathered in the Muhammad Ali multipurpose room for the “I love myself” dance. The theme of the dance encouraged students to focus on loving and appreciating the greatness within themselves in honor of Valentine’s Day. Students earned their ticket to the dance by following expectations during 4sight testing.
On November 4th, students danced the evening away in the apollo theater. The dance was a reward for 7th and 8th grade students that met expectations during Senora Corales’ spanish classes. 6th graders earned their ticket by completing a Mayan Math assignment for Ms. Neal. The dance was held in honor of Dia de los Muertos or “Day of the Dead.” Students from each grade also selected a Dance King or Queen.
