Jeremy Resnick, Founder
Jeremy Resnick serves as the Executive Director and is a founder of Propel Schools.
Jeremy has extensive experience in both charter schools and urban education. Prior to founding Propel, he was a founder and the Administrative/Educational Leader at Northside Urban Pathways Charter School, one of Pittsburgh’s first charter schools, and led its growth over three years from its inception through the school’s first charter renewal. Prior to his work at Northside Urban Pathways, he was founder and director of the Charter Schools Project at Duquesne University, founder and director of the Steel Center Technical Academy, and a teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Carol Wooten, Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Carol Wooten serves as the Chief Academic Officer for Propel Schools. She came to Propel to become the first administrator of a Propel School and to help open future schools. She taught biology and other sciences for 18 years and served as a high school principal in the Riverview SD, worked with curriculum and instruction in the Mars Area SD, and served as a middle school principal, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Superintendent of the South Side Area SD. She worked as a researcher and evaluator for the University of Pittsburgh on the New Futures Project, a project aimed at drop-out prevention, in the Pittsburgh City Schools. She served as co-chair of the Curriculum and Instruction Committee for PA ASCD, where she served on the Executive Board. Her international experiences in education include research in Taishi-Cho, Japan and Augsburg, Germany. She is a member of the Western PA Forum for School Superintendents. She serves on the Board of Directors for Three Rivers Connect and Pittsburgh Habitat for Humanity, where she chairs the Family Selection Committee.
