Be an Advocate

Spread the Word

One of the best ways to support Propel is to be an advocate for us. By introducing our mission and vision to others, we can build a stronger network together.

Invite us to give a brief presentation about Propel to a group of friends, family or colleagues. We are happy to make the presentation at a time and location of your choosing, or set something up for you at one of our schools or administrative offices. We will work with you to tailor the presentation to your audience. For example, the presentation could be given by any combination of Propel staff, board members, teachers, students or parents. We invite you to help us determine the right approach, dependent on the unique interests of your group.

Host a Food For Thought

Food For Thought gathers a small, diverse group of individuals to enjoy an intellectual and social evening exploring important topics in education.

Propel is looking for your support to plan a Food For Thought evening this year. Our goal is to stimulate conversation about Propel, charter schools and public education. We hope to have six Food For Thought evenings hosted over the course of the year. Your invited guests will not be solicited for funding by Propel. We see this new initiative as an opportunity for you to help Propel keep public education at the center of conversation in Pittsburgh and beyond. You provide the food; we'll provide the food-for-thought.

For more information about how to become an advocate of Propel Schools, contact Anne D'Appolonia, at adappolonia@propelschools.org.
