Determine which of our schools is best for you. Location is an important deciding factor. (you can apply to more than one school) |

APPLY. You can do so online or through regular mail. Double- check your information, and "submit" your pre-registration application.

One application per child, per school. For example, if you are applying your child for both Propel EAST and Propel BRADDOCK HILLS, you will need to fill out one application for each school. |

After you have completed the application by clicking the "SUBMIT" button (or mail it to us directly), your application has been received by Propel Schools. |

***If you have applied between January 1st and August 22nd, please continue to #5B***
Note: Applications will be closed from the 3rd Monday in August until September 30th.

In January, parents will receive notification of lottery results. |

If your child is offered a space at Propel Schools, you will receive a letter notifying you of your child's status, and providing next-step instructions on how to complete the enrollment process. If your child is offered a space or if your child has been placed on the wait list, you will receive written confirmation of your child's status via U.S. Mail within the following weeks after the final lottery is held. |

Schedule your appointment to complete your application packet (you will be prompted to do so in march-April). Once the packet is completed with all the necessary information and mailed back to Propel Schools, your child's space is confirmed. Make sure all the requested information is included before you send in your application packet. |

Orientation information will be available to you through the Propel School at which you have been accepted. |

If an opening becomes available for your child, we will contact you by phone immediately. |
| 11. |
If a space is not available for your child for the current school year, you must re-apply between October 1st and December 31st for the next year. For example, if you wanted to apply your child for the 2013-2014 school year, you would do so between October and December of 2012. |

Until your child has secured a space at Propel Schools, you MUST RE-APPLY EVERY YEAR. This ensures a fair and balanced application process. |

5B. You have applied out of the open lottery time period. This means that your application has been received and placed on our waiting list on a first come, first serve basis, from January 1st until the first day of school (the third Monday of August). |

If an opening becomes available for your child, we will contact you by phone immediately. |

If we contact you by phone regarding an available space, a 24 - 48 hour response time period is granted after we call. If you do not respond within the time frame, we will continue to the next individual on the waiting list. |

Spaces can become available at any time throughout the school year. Therefore, we encourage you to be prepared and take advantage of this educational opportunity. |

If there is not a space offered to your child for the current school year, you must re-apply between October 1st and December 31st for the next year. For example, if you want to apply your child for the 2012-2013 school year, you would do so between October and December of 2011. |

PLEASE NOTE
› Propel Schools does not accept applications or fill any 11th or 12th grade vacancies at any time.
› Propel will not fill 8th grade positions unless authorized by the Superintendent.

If you would like to schedule a tour at the school your child may be attending, please contact our Marketing & Community Relations Coordinator at 412.325.7305 x124. Tours are only available during the school year, except during PSSA testing. |

If your child is offered a space for one school, this will not jeopardize or remove them from the wait list of the other schools at which they have applied. |

Sibling Preference can only be granted to families that already have a child or children that are currently attending, and whom apply during the lottery time period (10/1-12/31). |

Potential kindergarten students must turn 5 years of age by September 1st of the year they propose to begin school, no exceptions.
