Propel Schools students and faculty will showcase unique initiatives funded via Innovation Grants from the Propel Schools Foundation.
Beginning in 2010, the Propel Schools Foundation implemented the Innovation Grants Fund. This program provides internal grants for student or staff-driven projects that will impact student engagement, bolster entrepreneurship and reflect a quest for excellence in learning.
A Grants selection committee (comprised of both internal and external members) select awardees from a pool of highly-qualified submissions. For the first time, these innovators will have the opportunity to publicly show their work and explain the progress and impact of their innovations.
On Tuesday, May 24 at 6:00 PM, 13 projects were showcased at Braddock Hills High School. These included endeavors such as bread-baking at a community oven, television production, a school library project and a host of others.
