The Andrew Street Project Lunch Tray team competed against 15 other teams in the Project Lunch Tray finals on Sat. March 19th at The Convention Center. They gave out samples and talked to the judges and to the public about their recipes. Our kids did a tremendous job working together with their teammates. We are so proud of the excellence we saw, it was a phenomenal experience for our kids!
Our Andrew Street Students won The Cost Award with the most inexpensive meal to make at $1.14 per person. They won $300 to use for Nutrition Education and Cooking in Afterschool.
Thank you to the Project Lunch Afterschool Coordinator and Team Coach, Mr. McMurray, who supported and helped our team at school and at the competitions.
When you see these students in your schools, please congratulate them. We are very proud of our kids!
