The team of 5 Propel McKeesport students who took the top prize in this year’s “Student Business Plan Competition” were recently guests on KDKA’s “The Raja Show.” Along with Propel Schools Board members (and competition mentors) Josh Cotherman and Brendan Surma, these students explained the strategy behind their business concept, practical components and plans for the future of the business. Dominic Brown, Dorian Garcia, Anthony Thompson (8th grade students), Jonathan Lust and Terrick Wright (7th grade students) were excited to make their radio debut!
The radio program also provided a platform for the students to make a big announcement — a name change for their business! The team met their first challenge early, as they discovered that their business’ name was already used by another local business. Banding together, they put much effort, time and thought into the new name: The Logical Landscapers!
Many congratulations to “The Logical Landscapers,” Mr. Cotherman and Mr. Surma for a great radio appearance! To read more about the team and link to the radio show, please click HERE.
