The variable pay is characterized by work that falls outside their typical duties and that contributes to the school’s mission or furthers or initiates advancement in teacher effectiveness, student growth and achievement. The available positions are intended to expand teacher and leader areas of instructional expertise and responsibility. These pathways are specifically-created opportunities for which teachers might be eligible, depending on qualification.
The following pathways are available for our teachers and support staff:
Induction Program
All new staff take part in the Induction Program, a three year program focused on developing staff based on personal needs. The Induction Program begins with an Immersion Week prior to the start of the school year. Over the course of the week, new staff are provided with professional development on culture, curriculum, instruction and procedures of the Propel Schools system. Click HERE to learn more.
Innovation Grants

Through the Propel Schools Foundation, staff can apply for an Innovation Grant. Grants can be used for projects that improve, advance or enrich student learning.
Rookie of the Year

At Propel Schools, we value our educators. At the end of each year, Propel recognizes 2 educators – a Rookie of the Year and an Educator of the Year. Rookie of the Year winners are first year educators at Propel Schools who spend the year going above and beyond to support their school community and whose students are learning and active.
Educators of the Year are peer nominated and chosen for multiple reasons, including embodying the Promising Principles and Commitments, demonstrating professionalism, showing evidence of positively impacting student growth and more.
