Open Enrollment for the 2021-22 school year began on October 6, 2020, and will close on December 31, 2020. The names of all scholars who apply during that period will be entered into the January lottery drawing. Families may apply after December 31 and will be placed on the waitlist. You can still apply via SchoolMint.

We strive to build courage in addition to knowledge. We engage in a Culture of Dignity that supports positive relationships between every scholar, educator and family. We expect our scholars to overcome challenges, to aim high to succeed. However, we don’t expect them to do it alone.
We suggest learning more about each of our 13 Propel Schools so that you can determine which school is best for your child.
Propel Schools operates 13 public charter schools where scholars are admitted by blind lottery. Our schools are free and open to Allegheny County residents. There are no admissions requirements and there are no tuition fees.
What to expect after you apply
|IF YOU APPLIED BETWEEN
OCTOBER 1 & DECEMBER 31:
During the third week of January, the lottery will take place and you will be automatically notified via the SchoolMint system if your child has been offered a space. Please remember your SchoolMint login information so that you will be able to access this important information.
If your child is offered a space, you will receive a message with details of how to complete the enrollment progress as well as a list of the required documents.
If your child is on the waiting list and an opening becomes available, you will be contacted via email through the SchoolMint system. If your child does not secure a space, you must reapply for the following year.
You can log in to the SchoolMint system to check your progress at any time after the lottery is drawn. Please remember your SchoolMint login information so that you will be able to access this important information.
|IF YOU APPLIED AFTER DECEMBER 31:
Your preliminary information has been received and your family will be placed on a waiting list.
If an opening becomes available for your child, you will be contacted via email through the Schoolmint system.
If you are contacted regarding space availability, a 24-48 hour response time period is granted. If you do not respond within the time frame, space will be offered to the next individual on the waiting list.
Spaces can become available at any time throughout the school year. Therefore, we encourage you to be prepared to take advantage of these openings if your child is on the waiting list.
If your child does not secure a space, you must reapply during the next open enrollment period.
